Did you know the quaint Newfoundland tradition of the Screech-in for visitors is not a cultural tradition but a completely manufactured event to fill a night club with tourists in 1975. Coming up this week is the 50th anniversary of that event . This is a real story by Roger Bill at The Gammy Bird.
